I am a great believer that you are always destined to meet the right people at the right time who will take you to new heights.
These individuals will inspire you, challenge you and make you better at what you do.
As the saying goes, “You cannot hang out with chickens and expect to soar with the eagles”
My father used to say that you are going to become the people you associate yourself with the most. If you want to know what your life will be like in 5 years time, then take a good look at your friends.
If these people are negative, unmotivated, comprise on everything for a life of mediocrity, then it’s time to wake up and make changes in your life and get some new friends. He stated that if you are spending time with the wrong people, you will never meet the right ones.
Probably explains why I ended up in gangs stealing cars and spent my time in police cells during my youth.
It was hanging around these individuals who were not going anywhere in life which was what got me stuck, so I started to slowly distance myself from these negative individuals spending as little time as possible with them.
It wasn’t easy but as soon as you start associating yourself with excellent people, excellence will rub off on you, so be very selective with whom you spend your time with.
Remember this, 85% of your success or failure is down to the relationships you keep.
