Four steps, and you can stop after any of them
A free call, 20 minutes
You tell me what is slow, or what is quietly costing you money. I ask a lot of questions. Nothing is being sold at this point, and if the answer is that you do not need me, that is what I will say.
I find the bottleneck
Not the job you find most annoying. The one that actually costs the most hours, which is usually duller and less obvious. It gets costed in hours a week so we both know what fixing it is worth.
I build it, to a scope you agreed
The price and the scope are written down before anything starts. You use the thing while it is being built, not at the end, because that is when you find out what is actually wrong with it.
We check it in six weeks
One question. Are you actually doing less of that job than you were? If the honest answer is no, I would rather find that out and fix it than let it get quietly abandoned.
